The soak should be as hot as the skin can comfortably stand it. The affected area should be soaked in the water several times a day for up to 10 minutes each time until the infection shows improvement, according to Natural Stress Care.
To help heal the common cold, Epsom salts can be used as a whole body soak. Natural Stress Care recommends placing large bath towels on a bed and pulling back the covers.
