Healthline also claims that pregnancy-related morning sickness is usually associated with nausea. Back pain is also common during pregnancy as the additional strain of the baby’s weight starts to take its toll, and back pain and nausea are normally no cause for alarm during pregnancy.

However, if nausea develops after the first trimester, there might be a need for closer medical attention as it may be a symptom of preeclampsia, which is a condition characterized by high blood pressure.

Healthline advises that pregnant women who develop nausea after the first trimester should seek medical advice, and nausea in a seemingly healthy person may be a symptom of an underlying illness.

According to WebMD, there are three main types of back pain, and they include upper, middle and lower back pain. Back pain can be caused by a wide range of issues, such as degenerative disc disease, muscle injury and arthritis.
